Smiley’s Nose Plugs Review

Posted by on January 3, 2012

There is nothing worse in kayaking than getting water up your nose when you roll. Smiley’s nose plugs to the rescue! This simple, yet elegant nose plug will keep the salt out. The nose plug itself is made of a malleable metal clamp that is nicely cushioned with silicon pads. An eight-inch-long lanyard made of utility cord will tether to your helmet or PFD to keep your nose plug close. I’ve relied on my Smiley’s nose plugs for many white-water runs, surfing sessions, and pool clinics and they have been up to the task. I always have a handful available for my rolling students to purchase when they realize that sometimes it’s not worth trying to tough it out. Wear Smiley’s and be happy!

Final Verdict:

Pros: Reliable, Comfortable, Great design

Cons: Expensive at >$7.00 per nose plug
