KayakDave.com would like to thank MTI Adventurewear owners Lili & Gordon Colby for their generous donation of a Slipstream lifejacket for use with the Duct Tape Kayak. MTI has been a proud sponsor of Heroes on the Water for many years and we’re very excited to be working together with such a great company in support of this important cause! Thanks, MTI!
MTI Adventurewear is a small, family-owned company located in Plympton, MA that has been in the business of designing lifejackets for the past 20 years. Their Slipstream lifejacket was designed by sea kayakers for sea kayakers. This athletically-cut lifejacket is packed full of great features including: hand-warmer pockets, a radio pocket, and solas reflective tape on the front and back. I had the chance to try it out on the pond this afternoon and I was really impressed with its form and function; it was so comfortable that I almost forgot I had it on! There’s no doubt that Alex will enjoy wearing the Slipstream when he races the Duct Tape Kayak this season and our readers should expect a full-review of this great product once we have a little more time with it!
