Why Should I Make A Donation?

Heroes on the Water is a grass-roots organization that takes wounded veterans on guided kayak fishing excursions as a way to help them recover from their injuries and discover a new sense of freedom. We have pledged to donate 100% of the funds raised through the Duct Tape Kayak Project to the new Massachusetts Chapter of Heroes on the Water to help them get their programming off of the ground. Our fundraising goal for 2013 is $2000.00 and we need your help to reach it! Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause and know that many local veterans will directly benefit from it!

How to Make a Donation:

Online:

The best way to make a donation to the Duct Tape Kayak Project is through our online portal at the Duct Tape Kayak Project website. Simply click the donate button and you will be directed to Paypal to make a secure donation via credit or debit card!

Facebook users are also welcome to make donations via the Donations App on our Facebook page! Please note that we incur small charges (~5% of the total donation amount) from the Donations App and Paypal in order to process your donation via Facebook. Consider using another donation option to circumvent these charges and help us deliver the highest yield to our charity.

By Mail:

The Duct Tape Kayak Project welcomes you to mail your donations in the form of a personal check to:

At a Fundraising Event:

The Duct Tape Kayak will be on display at a series of fundraising events throughout the summer. These events offer an excellent opportunity to see the duct tape kayak first hand, interact with the build team, and learn more about our charity, Heroes on the Water. You will also have the chance to sign the kayak and to participate in mini-raffles! Donations in the form of cash or check will be graciously accepted.

Check out our Schedule of Events and be sure to mark your calendar!

At Billington Sea Kayak:

The staff at Billington Sea Kayak welcomes you to make donations in the form of cash or check at their shop in Plymouth, MA. The shop offers over 27 years of kayak sales experience and a vast fleet of kayaks to demo on site. You may also choose to rent a kayak and spend the afternoon relaxing on Billington Sea. Chances are that one of the Duct Tape Kayak Team members will be kicking around and we’d be more than happy to give you a sneak peak!

Raffles and Giveaways:

Everyone who makes a donation to the Duct Tape Kayak Project will automatically be entered into a raffle to win some amazing prizes including various paddling gear and our new Duct Tape Kayak t-shirts! The drawing will take place once we meet our $2000.00 fundraising goal. The highlight item in this year’s raffle is a brand new SeaWhipser Carbon Paddle (210-220cm) thanks to a very generous donation from our friends at Seattle Sports!
